Men's Fashion Tips| Formal Wear Tips| Ties Tips|

Did you know "Ties" have roots back in a little war raged across Europe ( 1618-1648), Croatian Mercenaries deployed by the King of France were wearing knotted kerchiefs around their necks. From there this unique style attribute was adopted by French military officers. Now "a tie" is the most important part of men's clothing and regarded as a style ingredient.
When it's all about completing and giving the finishing touch to mens outlook, tie does the half job. But most of the time the decision of wearing a tie gives an outcome of a dead fish hanging around your neck. It is very astonishing when you decide to wear a tie but don't spend little time to give the finishing touch. If you have decided to wear a tie than take some time and leave for work fully dressed especially "a proper tie".
A tie is the next immediate thing people look at after looking at someone's face. Examining eyes always try to find some thing special about your tie in both good and bad ways. As a matter of fact tie differentiates you from other and it has now become the tradition in men's formal clothing.
There are a lot of confusions about ties. People discuss and ask many question about different considerations as far as ties are concerned.

Tie Factors:
  • Color & Design

  • Style & Proportion

  • Tie Knots
Color & Design :

The first and most important factor is the color & pattern of a tie you are going to wear. The best approach is to go for ties that have opposite patterns to your shirt's color and design. Solid colors will just work fine with your striped shirt and vice versa. If you really want to think out of the box you can take risk of having striped ties with your striped shirts. If you love to wear custom shirts then you can match your current ties with your new custom shirts.

Style & Proportion:

There seems to be no standard width of ties as ties have become much thinner as compared to ties in 70s and 80s. People associated with professional environments lets say celebrities love to wear thin ties. But still it is up to you whatever you want to wear a thin & skinny tie or a standard tie. It also depends upon your body shape and overall figure. If you are a man with broad shoulders than the better idea is to go for standard width tie.

Tie Knots:

Here comes the most exciting part and most confusing for many fashion fanatics, "The Tie Knot". Tying a tie is a process that has many possibilities because there are different types of tie knots. The most common tie knot type is the" School Boy", yes i am talking about "The Four-in-Hand ". The other famous tie knot types are the Full Windsor Knot and Half Windsor Knot named after the Duke of Windsor. If you have broad shoulders with thick neck then Windsor Knot is the right choice for you because Windsor Knots are thick tie knots.

Now don't think too much after reading this, go and have a perfect tie for yourself! ( Just keep the idea of not hanging the dead fish around your neck)
