How To Buy A Suit | Some Basics Of Mens Fashion

People come in different sizes and shapes but it is a fact that "off the rack" suits do not come in all sizes. Custom suit is a really cool idea. Custom suits will give you good set of choices for your suit selection. While buying a suit for yourself, you should know about the major details including the fit of a suit. It is always very difficult to find a suit that fits you perfectly. Fit suit jackets are easy to find but when it comes to trousers some are too baggy for you. Some basics of fit include shoulders and chest. As an advice to a beginner it would be suitable to have such suits jackets that hug your shoulders. For chest the common attribute to follow is the "ease with buttons" i.e. you should be able to button it easily.

For different men's body types here are some basic tips which will help many in getting their dream suit.

For gentlemen with some serious muscles, it is good to avoid pocket squares and peak lapels. You don't need skinny appearance but definitely you need to look slim. Use low collared shirts with two button suit jacket to create a V-effect for your body shape.

For the shorter gentlemen, if you want to boost the look of your torso you can use peak lapels. Lower buttons on suit jacket will also be a plus. Showing more cuffs from the bottom of your jacket will make you seem in more proportion.

For the taller gentlemen it will always be the best choice to go for two button suit. Dark colors will not put much impact as compared to light colors. Minimize the cuff show from your suit jacket.

So here you are, now you have got some idea about different considerations for different men sizes and shape. It will be a lot easier for you now to revisit yourself in the mirror and buy your next suit with a fresh confidence.
